Unexpected expense and sadness

Well, we had to unexpectedly put one of our dogs to sleep. He had congestive heart failure and took a turn for the worst. He was suffering and it was what we had to do. It cost $135. I'm so sad. Hoping time makes it hurt a little less.

    sorry to hear this..its like losing a child...I was so upset when we had to put our 2 down (at different times) but I knew they weren't in pain etc..so that makes it easier...they are now in urns on our shelf with their name tags...and yes I still talk to them

    Raquel, Hugs to you! I went through the same with my little girl dog two months ago. Remember the good and happy times you had with your dog and know that you showed him your love and gave him your best self while he was with you. You'll never forget your dog and while it's never easy to lose a well loved pet, your intense grief will gradually diminish.
